| Great comment. I wish people would post more good insight and comparisons to literature like that. Thanks. | |

| Very good track off the new album. Sounds a bit like Ryan Adams' "Desire" but I love that song, too. | |

What do you make of the lines: And we walked on the stones on the stone we did roam, To the tower where all of us go. Literal? Like a rocky promenade and a visit to a lighthouse? Or something figurative? |

| Sorry, that's the second person "you". . . | |

I'm clearly late to the party, but. . . Anyone notice he uses the third-person "she" in the last verse, when everything else is the first person "you" and "us"? Could be nothing, could be the "other woman" idea. No one has suggested what the chorus means -- so long, so high -- just that a relationship requires extreme stamina and strength? I think the "wolves" are just relationship hazards -- including temptation. I think it's "hinges" -- hearing/seeing the wolves in everything, including the bedsprings and the hinges. I think the simple face and the naked hands are just youth -- before wrinkles, make-up and a wedding ring. It's a good song made better when you really read the lyrics closely! |

He is having an illicit romance with a woman whose husband/boyfriend lives in Georgia. He wants to come clean and takes a stand with the man and declare his romance with the woman, but he really doesn't. Thoughts? |
