Enter Shikari – No Sleep Tonight Lyrics 14 years ago
I don't believe it is "And from that height we'll leak the lies
and unveal the damaged skies." It makes a lot more sense as "And from that height we'll leak the lies
and unveil the damned disguise." I'm not positive but it certainly sounds correct.

Warren Zevon – Splendid Isolation Lyrics 15 years ago
To me this song is very much about a woman. At first it wasn't, but after listening to it many times it eventually clicked. To me it is as though he is attempting to tell himself that he wants to be by himself, but if he really wanted to be alone he wouldn't have to repeat it to himself over and over again in different ways. He wishes that he could enjoy solidarity, but he's a social animal and needs companionship. Furthermore the "Don't want nothing to do with you" shows that there is "you" making him want to hide from the world.

"I want to live alone in the desert" is my favorite opening line to any song.

King Crimson – 21st Century Schizoid Man Lyrics 15 years ago
This makes me laugh, because I feel as though it's the entire point of the song. 1964 the philosopher Herbert Marcuse wrote "One Dimensional Man" and to me it sounds like whoever wrote the lyrics had just read the book. It is all about how Western Society and capitalism have trapped man in a world it really doesn't want to be in, but forces man into accepting society through needless things such as iPods, televisions and baseball cards. To me this song is saying how all men are a bit schizo because of the society that surrounds us. That's most echoed in the line "Nothing he's got he really needs." If you ever want a good read that will open up your mind I highly suggest "One Dimensional Man" and it is so easy to see in the song.
