I sounds to me like it's about Matt doesn't always want to do what the greedy producers want him to, how celebreties can become toys to the one publish their records. Controlling my feelings far too long (publisher wants Matt to write THIS kind of lyrics and music) Forcing our darkest souls to unfold (making him do things he doesnt want to) And pushing us into self destruction (he collapses under the pressure) They make me, make me dream your dreams (Tthe publisher's dreams) They make me, make me scream your screams (the songs the publisher wants him to write) ) Trying to please you far too long (trying to live up to the publisher expectation) Visions of greed you wallow (publishers are greedy only want to gain on the music) this is just how i think it is |
