You're completely right except throughout the song he's asking himself over and over how'd I let her go? So you get this sense that this guy realized how much he loved this girl after he let her go and now years later he asks her to meet with him because he needs to confess his feelings for her and as they talk she tells him that shes found the one and he's too late. Sad song. I know the pain. I guess the saying is right you never know what you got till it's gone. |
