Ok so I agree with everyone about it being second best, but I think that it is another song about Kim running in high school. The song 5k is about her running. It's about a person who kept getting second at everything they did. Now they are older and looking back at how second is just as fine as first because it all doesn't matter now. burnt skin from miles and miles of crossing parking lots three miles it never stops boy I think this has to do with the training and the race because a 5k is 3.1 miles and you don't stop during it. shoes have grown mighty old pants faded knees with holes stitched up now silver thread Old training stuff that they don't want to get rid of. |
