I absolutely love this song because it shows that also christina is insecure of how she looks. The song just tells you that you ARE beautiful and this song deals with everyone because no matter what people dont look like what they want. It also is not about eternal apperance it also is about internal for many reasons - how she doesnt feel comfortable in her own skin. - how she doesn't think she's beautiful inside as well. I like how part of the song it says "the sun will always shine on" that to me means no matter what happens theres always a brighter side to it all. this song is one of my favorites. christina is very talented |

well this songs main meaning is... people that want to kill themselves/suicide. The song tells them just to hold on because everyone goes through it. this song has a major impact of my life from school problems I have. The lyrics have so much emotion that indicates alot of pain |

i loveee this song it means ALOT too me I think this song is about..... it deals alot with cutting yourself an bullimic issues because of the lyrics she says in one point " blood on my hands to stay strong" which shows me she is dealing with cutting herself and the part where she says to stay strong thats showing you she's dealing with pain and a lot of people that are cutters believe this may help me with the pain which clearly it doesn't help but it may seem like will help deal with the pain. the part where she talks about being bullimic is when she says " I can't throw up I don't think I even wanna try" which is another example with dealing with pain. ALSO I think this song has alot to do with something that may have hapened before that led her to the cutting an the other issues because of the first couple of lines " they clipped my wings again tore them apart again then left me" another part is.. " my eyes die back that day seeing the hurt I may have done".... so hearing that something had to been progressing to lead up to the vidal pain that the lyrics indicate. I may be wrong but I think this is a meaning that may be concidered of what this song is truely about.. this song is basically what happened with my life so far... i ended up telling a friend who i liked an the part where she says " my eyes die back that day seeing the hurt I may have done" means in my situation my friend told everyone an it led to alot of pain because i was constantly being made fun of over an over again an in the pain i had I started cutting myself which isnt the solution but I did it anyways an started just becomming depressed but i never told anyone my problems and im only 15 rite now an this all happened last year for me an this song relates to alot of what happened of the result of being bullied. so OVERALL this songs purpose is pain she was going thru an leading to the different things that she did and this also can relate to the movie Thirteen because it has some of the same issues like the song thats what I mainly think the song is about... reply back to me if u like what I said or didn't.
