Arcade Fire – The Well and the Lighthouse Lyrics 14 years ago
This song has nothing to do with God, other than the nonexistence of one. Arcade fire sees religion as it truly is: a means of keeping people in line.

My Chemical Romance – The Only Hope For Me Is You Lyrics 15 years ago
I don't think that it's necessarily saying he wishes he was dead, but rather that he was anywhere else. He doesn't like what he has to do, but he has to do it and fight through it with his friends.

And yeah, I see the imagery of 9/11. I think it's a reference to 9/11 but that he put it in because it also ties into the post-apocalyptic world where the story takes place.

My Chemical Romance – Heaven Help Us Lyrics 15 years ago
It's about The Patient still guys, remember? I'm pretty sure "Heaven help us now, come crashing down!" is a metaphor for death. The part where The Patient says, "Will you pray for me?" - hope for me to get better. "Make a saint of me?" - crucify me (It used to be in the catholic church that a martyr was instantly considered a saint) "Lay for me?" - die for me "Make a saint of me?" Then The Patient, I think, gives up and asks someone to pull the plug. "I'll give you all the nails you need, cover me in gasoline." Then he dies. It ends with "You don't know a thing about my sins, how the misery begins." - no one understands what he goes through. "You don't know, so I'm burning, I'm burning" - the plug is pulled, and The Patient "burns". I think this goes before Dead! or before Welcome to the Black Parade.

Rise Against – The Dirt Whispered Lyrics 15 years ago
I think this song is about a girl who's waiting on her father to come back from the war (represented by the dirt).
I think the dawn represents the end of the war, and the girls father promised to live through the war and make it home.
The postcard is pretty self explanatory. The echoes of songs are the lasting affects of war.
