My favourite instrumental song. I don't care about all that virtuoso shit out there, although there are plenty of amazing guitarists with huge talent their songs always sound like they just want to show their virtuosity, so that everyone can know that they play guitar fucking great. WHO CARES ABOUT THAT? Know i ask: How many songs out there can give you such an epic feeling like Orion? The best way to describe a song is by hearing what it has to say, so, instead of describing it i will invite everyone to really hear what this song is saying, if you do, if you really do that...then you will have to create a new word to describe what you're feeling... Instrumentally this is one of my favourite darkest hour songs, i love the riffs, that catchy guitar part in the chorus and the really cool solo. In my opinion i think this song is about a break up, i think he is pissed off because she left him and he says that she will regret it, but at the same time he knows that maybe it was the best thing for her. These are the parts of the song that give me that feeling: "Sound the surrender, embraced in vain. What will you gain from this, what will you lose?" (...) "Sound the surrender. You've gained all you could from this. Sound the surrender. But you've lost the only one." |

Every COB fan knows that most of the songs in Something Wild is about the Lake Bodom murders so this song is no exception about that, at least that's what i think. I just don't know why this song has really few comments, this song KICKS ASS!!! This was one of the first COB songs i heard and is still my favourite above all, the awesome and catchy intro, the fantastic riffery, the mind sweeping solo, IT ALL KICKS ASS!!! |

When i hear this song i just feel like screaming along with Matt (is there any trivium fan who never tried to scream along this fucking awesome song too?) i heard this song about a million times but everytime i hear the chorus i get a shiver down my spine because of the power in Matt's voice, this song is definetly one of my Trivium favourites, even with the new stuff in Shogun and all that. By the way the song is obviously about a dictator, but everyone already knows that so there is no point going trough with that. |
