No, dear god, it is not clearly about drugs. It is about being caught up in a lifestyle, and seeming like the one at the center of it all, and not being actually in control of any of it. Drugs might be, possibly, a part of it, but really it's just being overwhelmed by the whirlwind of it all, and trying to exert any control over a life that's spun out of your control, and having to pretend that it's all still fun even though it stopped being fun once you lost any personal control of it. |
