I think a lot of the deciphering of Aes lyrics is what the person wants it to be, that's the beauty of music. A lot of his are either interpreted as anti-mainstream rap or anti politics simply because this is what "pops" when some people think about Aesop Rock. |

Aesop Rock need his own genre, he just a different feel, a different meaning. The reason he is not popular is because it take intelligence to understand his lyrics, and most of the people with that capability don't realize that rap like this exists. |
