He becomes angry at the fact his body is failing him, and needs to calm down his rage and nerves so that he can accomplish what he wants in his life. He has gained a new perspective with his experience, a bend of the lens. He's faced what most people haven't with whatever it was he experienced - which I think was a disease that caused a near death experience. Everbody has experienced pain, and eventually everyone's waterfall dries, and they pass away. He wants to turn over his life before it's too late because he realizes how fast time flies, and that he should get up and face life, despite the pain. But of course, in the end - the flare will blind both you and I. |

I think this song is about Hosomi becoming ill. I don't know if he is or isn't, but it sure seems like it. He is sick and is in the hospital, refusing to believe his illness is true. At the same time, he's refusing all the people that want to see him, because he's become depressed and he doesn't believe in anything any more. His body is sick and there are things inside him, failing. He wants the fear and the shakes to be paralyzed, probably through some sort of medication. His illness has crutched him to be forced to use a cane. He realizes that nothing will be the same inside him due to his illness. When he says "start the light, let's end the night", I think of the light that people see when they die, and the night being his life - since everything is so dark and gloomy. He knows that the world will keep on moving and carrying on, even if there is sympathy. A golden ring could either be referencing marriage or the light again. I'm not sure if Hosomi is married, wants to be married, or if he's just talking about death again. But in the end, the flare, the light at the end of your life, will blind anyone and everyone. |

I think Hosomi has been having troubles lately with his identity and how he feels about things. His changes maybe has led to the end of one of his relationships. This song is explaining how he misses the best days he had with someone, and that the memories keep him awake at night because he's nostalgic. The memories keep him up and give him insomnia. This song is telling a person to hole on while he figures things out, and wants the person to wait until he fixes everything to be the person he once was. He wants this person to save the old him and come back to him. |

| The HIATUS – Antibiotic Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I think Hosomi has been going through some troubles with his health, and was put on antibiotics. However, the sickness and medication may be leeching the life out of him - making him lose his sense of wonder and his energy that makes him who he is and holds him as one. And maybe he's hiding an illness, and is tired of lying to people and giving the impression that he's fine. It also matches up in his other lyrics, such as in the Flare, where he is talking about being on a cane and having shakes - further supporting that he might be sick. Another possibility is that he's been experimenting with drugs such as vicodin or something, and "antibiotics" are a sort of code word for it. I'm not sure about Hosomi's stance on drugs, though. Just a thought. I think my first interpretation is more likely, though. Maybe I'm completely wrong, but that's my take on things. |
