Regina Spektor – Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen cover) Lyrics 5 years ago
It took years for Leonard Cohen to write this song, so he gets the nod for the best version. He also performs it with the greatest depth, John Cale and Jeff Buckley and even Regina are all great too. John Cale's version is in Shrek, sso maybe he gets a skight nod at number 2.

Wreckless Eric – Whole Wide World Lyrics 5 years ago
The song was featured in "Stranger Than Fiction." Made a great connection to the romance that was beginning. Great song.

The Cowboy Junkies – Sweet Jane Lyrics 11 years ago
Great song, unfortunately the lyrics are wrong. Whoever submitted these lyrics copied and pasted Lou Reeds Live version. This is the old Velvet Underground version, which is at much slower pace. it goes like this

Anyone who ever had a heart
Wouldn't turn around and break it
And anyone whose ever played a part
Wouldn't turn around and hate it

Sweet Jane, Sweet Jane, Oh sweet, sweet Jane

Waiting for Jimmy down in the alley
Waiting for him to come back home
Waiting down on the corner
Thinking ways to get back home

Sweet Jane, Sweet Jane, Oh sweet, sweet Jane

Anyone whose ever had a dream
And anyone whose ever played a part
Anyone whose ever been lonely
And anyone whose ever split apart

Sweet Jane, Sweet Jane, Oh sweet, sweet Jane

Heavenly wine and roses seem to whisper to me
Heavenly wine and roses seem to whisper to me
When you smile

Sweet Jane, Sweet , sweet Jane
