Basically, I think the song is about going to a party/bonfire thing, and there's a new girl coming along. Everyone wants to be with her, but Caleb gets her instead. He tells the others they can play their tunes, they can act smug and fresh-shaven, but he's gonna get her no doubt about. The last verse is basically him stating what transpired between the two of them. Lol I don't know but their lyrics are always hard to figure out. |

Hmm I'm confused. In Australia the legal of consent is like 16/17 depending on the state you live in. Is it 18 in the US? Either way this song is great and pretty much everyone's already explained the song's meaning. This song came out just before I turned 17. Why does every fucking song have to be about being God damn seventeen!! Tim McGraw, Kings Of Leon, Jet, Metro Station... Argh I miss being 17. Best year of my life. |

This is one of his best in my opinion. It reminds me of when I was a kid, driving out to my Dad's in the country and he'd play Tim McGraw and teach my little sisters and I the words to all his songs. This song is so sweet I think pretty much everyone rremembers 17 as being one of the best years of your life and the innocence of first love. That was only last year for me but I still miss it. Can't wait to see Tim later this year when he comes Down Under to Oz!! Hooray!!! |
