true, one of my favourites, I see it as if he is suffering from it, like a strong addiction |

Yes, "Sign your name on the dotted line" could be a reference to selling your soul to the devil, but could also be to a professional hooker, couldn't it be? like someone who makes massages and he signs for the payment. Anyway, one of the two |

hi. I didn´t read all comments, too many, but in my opinion, besides the point of being about heroin or not, this song is about someone (maybe lou reed himself) who's in love with someone that keeps him hanging on ("You just keep me hanging on"), and so he's regreting that he is not loved back, saying that it seems all so perfect. I have the sence that this is a very SAD song, very depressing indeed, and the end "You're going to reap just what you sow" seems to me like he is saying that the relation is going to end badly by her/his fault, like an accusation or something |

jealousy? maybe, but don't forget that Lou never tells the truth, or you can never know...I think he once said that this was a very sad lyric and he had to make a happy song to sing it (i'm not shure about this) anyway, the way I see it is that sattelite of love is a metaphor for someone who has lots of love (or sex), and indeed he would be jealous |
