I love this song :) I think it's about a kind of young and naive love that someone feels towards another, but one person in the relationship has experienced heartbreak. Maybe the other feels that they should 'wipe the slate clean' and heal it. Because they haven't actually proclaimed their love for eachother, it won't hurt them. Perhaps they like eachother, but they aren't admitting it? Just my interpretation, there's lyrics in this song I don't understand. |

This might seem a bit.. weird, but i have a really different interpretation of this song. I think the first verse is all about the innocence of her childhood.. plasticine, peacefulness between birds and the bees (i.e. no sexual tension between boys and girls etc..) And then I interpret the little red bit as being growing up. I think that little red might refer to her starting her period. Maybe- I told you it was weird :L Then the garden thing is talking about her insecurities as a teenager. And then she falls in love and grows up etc.. Such a lovely song :) |
