this has nothing to do with the lyrics, but the melody of this song is really similar to Surfer Blood's "I'm Not Ready" well, i like both songs though, so it's okay :) and i'm sure it's just an unintentional coincidence |

i quite agree with ananixon, about this song is about a girl with terminal illness or something. the feeling I got from this song is like a positive approach from someone who didn't have long to live and she wanted to spend remaining time that she had with her lover and by experiencing life. maybe her lover felt reluctant spending time with her, cos he thought she better off going on with her treatment or whatever. so this song somehow like she was giving an explanation to her lover, giving him her point of view of why she want to spend her last time with his and that she didn't have long to live. "rather die in your arms than die lonesome" "i'm running out of time, so let's dance while we're waiting" "Rather live out a lie than live wondering how the fire feels while burning. For life is like a flame and the ashes for wasting. So honey don't be afraid to dance while we're waiting." she reassured her lover that their love will be there even when she has gone away: "we will live longer than i will, we will be better than i was we can cross rivers with our will, we can do better than i can so dance while you can, dance cause you must love out of lust, so dance while you can" and when her lover still firm in his opinion, she was kinda tired explaining and said: "so tired of waiting, Come baby so tired of waiting, Come baby" well, that was only my imagination and interpretation anyway :) |

what got me hooked up with this song is when he sang: "cause blinded,i am blindsided" and "would u really rush out for me now?" i tried to interpret this song sentence by sentence and my head nearly exploded, i just cant i got the impression of someone helpless in this song so, the overall picture: he knows that there's something wrong but he doesnt know what his problem is. he tried to understand (i crouch like a crow, contrasting the snow, for the agony, i'd rather know) but still it's useless, cause i think he's oblivious (cause blinded, i am blindsided ; i'm not really like this, i'm probably plightless) and i think after all the hard way he's gone through to understand his problem is, he still cant figure it out, and he's kinda helpless and need someone to help him i think (would you really rush out for me now?) so thats it, it's only my interpretation though :) amazing song!! |
