I thought I heard him in an interview saying this song was about the day after a break up where usually if you were still in the relationship you'll be doing something with your significant other, but instead you're doing everything alone (eating breakfast, taking a walk, etc.) I'm really not sure where I heard that from, but that always sticks with me when I hear this song. And after a recent break up with my boyfriend of 5 years, I can really relate to this song. |
