Yeah, Pageturned99 pretty much hit the nail on the head. That is what this song feels for me. Pretty much all Snow Patrol songs are a piece of my life in one way or another matter of fact. My first marriage pretty much ended this way. Yeah, the end of a first marriage sure leaves questioning the whole concept of love and marriage. LOVE SNOW PATROL!!! Saw them in concert. They are great live as well! |

It seems that some people think it is "Rape Yourself" and others think it is "Rake Yourself". I hear "Rake" and maybe this will help: Idiom Definitions for 'Rake someone over the coals' If you rake someone over the coals, you criticize or scold them severely. Seems to fit what he is saying... Rate yourself; see where you stand and then Rake yourself; cut yourself down. Just my 2 cents. Great song!!! |
