Is this song not aimed at Oasis????? I always thought this song was a reaction to Liam Gallagher once saying they will never make it big. Well, I watch you tangle every weekend It might start different but it ends up the same.... Reference to Liam constantly getting into trouble and shouting his mouth off. Noone's gonna start a revolution So why do we even moan? - Reference to 'dont look back in anger' lyrics "gunna start a revolution from my bed" And let's not fall in the trap of answering back I am just a beginner But I know she'll be the winner - At the time when Arctic Monkeys came from nowhere and blew up Liam said what he said but Alex Turner 'only just a beginner' obviously thought not to pour fuel on the fire and start a row. I dont know who 'She' is though? Settle for a draw - I think anyone would be happy to match Oasis's success so why not just settle for a draw..... Could be completely wrong but it makes sense to me.... |
