I think the song is about a girl who is dating one person, when their heart belongs to someone else. The part with the dinosaurs, I believe is just to symbolize strength. I swear, I've been the she in the song, and it is just so perfect for how I was feeling. I was with a guy, then realized I was completely in love with someone else.
