i used to love this song.....an ex of mine made a cd with this song and would play it every time i would go to his apartment...after agreeing to be just platonic friends...i went to his apartment to talk to him about something and to get lunch something that we use to do...and he played this cd and then he raped me...and while this was occurring this song played...it was the worse experience of my life.....your interpretation of this song hits home because...now this song reminds me of that moment....i couldnt listen to this song for six months...now i slowly can...i still think its an amazing song...but even the lyrics kind of coincide with what happen to me...my family didnt know what to say or how to react...some of them ignored me entirely...i know the songs lyrics have nothing to do with that...however with my experience...it totally changed the meaning of this song.... |
