Wow, mad doctor... You're anything but right. This song is about a significant other. What "I caught fire" is referring to is either the first time he was actually noticed, or him getting away from it all and being free. "CATCHING FIRE" is a term used in two situations. 1. raising in momentum by getting known rapidly. 2. leaving a place quickly without hardly being noticed. Just from my interpretation I would go with the first one. "I'm melting in your eyes like the first time that I caught fire" He is getting the same rush from being with her, as he did when he first decided to socialize in school or his first time being on stage and people cheering for him. Just from my view though. I could be wrong, but I know for sure he isn't talking about dope. |
