This song is about not wanting to grow up. He wants time to go by slower. He had insomnia, so he'd often think about time passing too quickly, and how he's awake while all the rest of the world is asleep. He'd rather sleep than be awake, though, because in his dreams "everything is never as it seems". He wants to stay in his childhood, where everything is happy, and anything is possible and magical, like dreaming of millions of fireflies lighting up the world. |
