Heaven at nite is perhaps Kid Cudi's most revealing song yet. Kid Cudi wasn't inspired by his dreams nor partying. He's talking about meditation while under the influence of weed. He specifically mentions several key signals of meditation such as the bright light, the feel of floating, and force of suction that literally feels like something is tugging on your soul. In Kid Cudi's interview with Karmaloop he sheds light on his experience with weed while he was living in a small room with no source of light besides the moon. He would smoke weed and meditate. Many of his songs hints his experiences of meditation. Hence the title Heaven at Nite. Many people who meditate experience out of body experience in which they feel like they spiritually enter heaven. I personnally have experienced this before discovering Kid Cudi and all of his music scream of the same experiences. I highly recommend you to try it.
