Sure, the NIN version is about suicide, but the magic that is Mr. Cash, made this song have a completely different meaning. He's had addictions to many things, which fits with the song. And the second half of the song perfectly describes his wife. What have I become, my sweetest friend, everyone I know, goes away in the end. You can just feel the emotion in his voice. and WinterOnyx, i cannot believe you are comparing this song, to the Faith Hill remake of Piece Of My Heart. You need to open your mind a little, and admit that this song is an amazing piece of work. |

when i first heard this song, i didnt really like it. but now i love it! i think the song is about betrayal. Mainly of a friend, but a univeral betrayal. the line "like a tired soldier slowly dying the gun that fired the shot was your own" reminds me of a book i just read. lol. |

i dont know why, but to me, this song seems like it's a spoof of Skater Boy by Avril Lavigne. I dont know what song was written first, but either way, if you really think about it, it seems like a spoof. But a hell of a lot better than anything Ms. Lavigne ever "wrote". if a bands song list, includes more than 3% of songs about girls, THEYRE NOT PUNK. I dont care what anyone says. When you sing about chicks all the time, it's not a punk song. |

i really hope this song is a joke. i mean, i love Good Charlotte, but come on, this is just lame. "my girls, a hot girl" riight. shallow much? heh. and you dont have to dress "hardcore" to be punk. and just because you dress "hardcore" doesnt mean theyre "posing" or whatever you said up there. people dress in a way of expressing themselves. get over it. and anyone who thinks that GC is actually punk. go download some REAL punk. bad religion. social distortion. rancid (although theyre more ska'ish punk) dropkick murphys. sex pistols. and so on. |

okae. dont people know how to freaking type words anymore? dru_g , take some english lessons please.. im mostly into rock, punk, and all that.. i HATE rap. its all about "niggas and hoes" and its just stupid.. but i like Eminem's new stuff. im open minded when it comes to music.. i like music that means something. and stuff you can relate to. i cant personally relate to everything eminem raps about, but its real. hes not talking about all his money, and "bling bling". what in the hell IS bling bling, anyways? anyway, theres people on here that only like punk and emo or whatever, but come on. have an open mind. give this very song to someone else, in the punk/rock genre and i guarentee you, they could pull it off. |
