I think it's a song about a boy and a girl he loved in high school. He still loves her and they are about to meet again, 20 years later at reunion. For 20 years, without apparent reason, she keeps coming to his mind on sad, rainy days. And he still can hear her voice, that stopped the world, when she turned him down. He was sincere when he told her he loved her, now he is sorry ever after. It's reunion time and he awaits anxiously to meet her again. He has nothing to say, he already said all there was to be said. All he needs is one look into her eyes to see if she also regrets it or, perhaps, there is still hope, for she is the only one he ever loved. |
