This does seem to be about the economic crash and the greed that led to it. I have not been swept away by this song but I am still on the edge of my seat awaiting The Final Frontier. |

Ha ha! It's about Harris's divorce, is it. When I read the lyrics I immediately thought that it's about overcoming depression, and feeling great to have put behind all the moments of darkness felt within. This song is almost rock with its straightforward rhythm and the way the refrain goes. |

This song has just completely grabbed me. I can listen to it over and over again. The words are so beautiful, so poetic, and the music is also beautiful and poetic. Fantastic heavy refrain, great multilayered lyrics, and some absolutely gorgeous guitar passages. I think the song must be about Steve's father, and about what connects all of humanity, and I sure like the earlier comment about how Bruce says it's a dedication to the metal community as well. I'm seeing Maiden tomorrow night and this song is apparently on the set list. I'll sure keep Bruce's exhortation in mind when they play it! |
