"Dancing in the bright lights" reffers to her beign a stripper, and no offense intended to anyone who is/knows a stripper, but most strippers are known for dancing in bright lights, and having no self esteem. "take out the knife" says that she cuts herself. "mirrors tell the worst lies cover it up" she looks in the mirror and doesn't like what she sees, and she needs to cover herself up in what is either makeup, lots of clothing, and she possibly looks fake. |

I think the song means that when this band gets old, there will be other bands out there that you will listen to and like, and that will replace them. sort of like the saying, "this too shall pass". "And we will find our way there live like delicates before we go you'll know" this i'm pretty sure states that they had their moment of fame, and sooner or later, they will have to move on with their lives. |

Ithink it's about the way girls on tv and magazines etc... treat themselves to make themselves thinner, prettier, and become obsessed. "There is the line and you crossed it i would help you but your to far down." i'm guessing this means that whoever girl he's singing about has crossed the line of obsessed with herself and there's no way to help her, she will always be obsessed with her body. |
