I don't think words can describe this song, none of my babbling and obnoxiously long word use could do it justice. And yet I still comment. Because this song is just so heart-shatteringly beautiful. Honestly, I'm writing this comment right now listening to the song and I am close to tears. If I start crying I'm not going to be able to stop. This song is just one of those rare kinds that makes you happy to be living in that moment. I think I can feel my heart caving in... |

This is the first song I've ever cried to. I haven't even cried for a film before (well I did cry a tiny bit at The Life Aquatic With Steve Zizzou), I'm not normally a person to cry to music. But this song made me burst into tears. I haven's really gotten to have a look at all the comments so I don't know if someone has already said this but this is what I think: If this song is about losing someone, I think it kind of goes through the stages of your reaction. At first it sounds like the person is empty inside, the universe truly becomes a vast and lonely place and even your own voice echoes in the solitude. Then you realise how hopeless you are to the situation, there is nothing you can do. You're angey and upset, it's a really intense grief. All the emotion is building up until you finally let go and say goodbye. You hope they're in a better place. I think the ending has something of hope in it. All the while you can hear the clock ticking in the background and you realise your own mortality. It's either the death of a person or the person dying and leaving this world behind no matter how much they want to stay. One of the most beautiful songs I will hear in my life. |

| As Tall as Lions – Ghost of York Lyrics | 15 years ago |

What I interpret from this song is that he is probably in a relationship that he is not ready for, he still feels lonely and so he creates this ghost in his head that he thinks is real and he sort befriends. Like an imaginary friend. OR it's about a love lost, which would explain the "goodbye" bit. Whatever the meaning it is undeniably a great song. |

... and I just read the comment about Murdoc and Noodle and it has blown my mind to a whole other dimension! It has given me something to ponder about... But I also think that was a beautiful comment by Mahalee. |

Love, love, love it! Yeah I think it pretty much means being with the person you love and even if they don't feel the same way hoping that they will settle for you. Plus I think melancholy hill is a place we all find ourselves some times, not that happy, a little gloomy but thoughtful. It kind of all stands still and your left with nothing but to think. A bit like a dream. |

| Gorillaz – Some Kind Of Nature Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I love this song! Well to be honest Gorillaz is one of my favourite bands. So I love all their songs. I agree that it is about the "fake nature" surrounding us all. I thought andystoys interpretation was really good too. I think the song is about finding the natural things through the fake, or trying to ask for forgiveness for being so fake because in truth we all enjoy the fakery. Also kind of begging to find some beauty and soul in something man-made. So sort of like we can see all these artificial things in our lives but can we be bothered to stop these things affecting us and which will then continue with our children and so on? I think. P.s I love Gorillaz. Just wanted to get that across. |

| Justin Bieber – One Time Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I'm not the only one who thought it was a girl! phew! my friends teased me for ages because I didn't know who Justin Bieber (the Bieb) was. Another friend did a dance to this which was hilarious! | |
| Justin Bieber – Baby Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I REALLY don't like Justin Bieber. My friends sing this song as a joke all the time and when they do I can't stop laughing. Yeah the song is annoying and (omg brace yourself bieb fans) so is he. Hope I don't offend anyone. Stop giving me evils. The bieb (yes that's what I call him) just doesn't do it for me. | |

When I listen to this song in the beginning I get a feeling like there's a war with the machines (or something similar.) Yeah I guess it's about relying on technology too much and treating them (eg. computers) like they're people, like how i call my laptop my child. I'm not joking. The music video is awesome and you understand why the song is called "Death to los campesinos" p.s I hear "Broken down like the war economy" too... |

| Joseph Arthur – In The Sun Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This is one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard! I agree with both view points that he is either talking to an ex or someone with a religious point of view (or yes maybe even Jesus). But I definitely think there is religious conflict in the song whether it's his or the other person's. That's what made this song special to me, when I was quite young I was brought up with quite a christian view of the world, having gone both to a protestant school and a catholic school. But when I got a little older (11) I just stopped and looked around and realized that this is not me. So now I AGREE with christian meanings of leading a good life and being a good person but I am now considered agnostic. Some of the lyrics in this song described exactly how I felt at the time. (I found this song in Saved!, which I think is awesome, and I could so relate to Mary). This song is still incredible. | |
