This song says so much to me - it describes what happened between my ex-boyfriend and I. The couple is still together in the song even though it's painful for them. "It's the elephant in the room And we pretend that we don't see it It's an avalanche that looms above our heads And we don't believe it" - They know that they have problems in their relationship but it's easier not to bring it up. Something will happen to make it crash on them, but they don't want to look at it. Trying to be perfect, trying not to let you Honesty is honestly the hardest thing for me right now While the floors underneath our feet are crumbling The walls we built together tumbling I still stand here, holding up the roof 'Cause it's easier than telling the truth - He really doesn't want to hurt her, but their relationship is falling down even though they don't want to admit it.
