The beauty about art is that it is open to interpretation.
My thoughts on why this song fits during the scene wear Edward proposes to Bella and she accepts in Eclipse is because it seals the deal for their love. Bella desires to sacrafice her human life to be with Edward forever. The song is about death, so the underlying message is a bittersweet message about dying for her love to become a vampire and leaving her human family and friends behind. |
