When I first heard this song, I immediately thought of this woman who was having nightmares about a troubled past; maybethe way her husband used to be. He comforts her and tells her that he's changed; reminds her of who he is now. I can see it from the other point of view as well though, the less literal interpretation of it - a woman pining over a relationship that is finished. Awesome song, I love it. :) |

I think of having a baby everytime I hear the first verse. "This is ours, we made it with our everything Something real, as real as it could ever be You gave me all of yourself, I gave you all of me Now set it free from yourself, for everyone to see" I don't think it's meant to be taken that literally though. ;) I basically think it's about showing people who you are, and not giving a rip about what they think. |
