| Meshuggah – Perpetual Black Second Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I GOT IT! This amazing song might just be about a "Perpetual Black Second." A moment of trauma that you or somebody else caused, leading you to never forget that second, it just goes on and on in your head, sort of like Post Truamtic Stress Disorder (PTSD). See, cuase: "One single image frame i wish to forget now replayed in succession of millions The one second i will always regret -my hell found in it's reiteration.." That whole set of words basically states this person did something that made them so regretful that they could not forget that very moment that it happened, and it replays: "One single image frame i wish to forget now replayed in succession of millions.." The same images pop up in his head so many times, so much that he lives in his own "Hell in Reiteration." Bam. I'm a motherfucking Genius Motherfucking wordsmith yo. Na rap can suck a fucking dick. Metal lives on. MESHUGGAH METAL! |

| Not all songs have to god damn do with religion. Often Meshuggah songs have to do with actual things, like...Psychopaths! This song is about a psychopath, who uses lies to get what they want when they want, and they could care less if people are harmed. Bam. Stop blaming religion and religious people. Leave those ranting hypocrites alone...lol. | |
| Meshuggah – Closed Eye Visuals Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I believe this song is simply a break down of dream. "Closed Eye Visuals" in my mind, refer to a dream. You see images in your sleep, and they reflect on images, thoughts, sounds, and feelings you've experienced when you're awake. They some how "Sum" it up (hahaha, get it?) by saying that in our dreams anything is possible, becuase in your mind you have "A propulsion beyond all limit lines" and such. Your mind is made of physical matter, flesh, cells, and these neural transmitters that use physical electrons to form images in your head when your sleeping. From my examination of the lyrics, it could be exploring a possibility that the mind is always awake, just switching from one zone to another. I don't know. |

| Meshuggah – New Millennium Cyanide Christ Lyrics | 15 years ago |

This song is, to me, not about religion in a literal sense. The song name, "New Millennium Cyanide Christ" is simply a metaphor. This song has somewhat less philosophical meaning then in Meshuggah's other songs, rather this one tells a story of somebody dead set on saving his race by merging himself with machinery and enhancing himself chemically and technologically. In this way, he tries to become "God-Like", hence the name. I think NMCC is more of a warning, or a possibility. Maybe the song is telling us that we may be able to make ourselves Gods, so we can "save a failed humanity" and "Follow the god of cyanide into the new eternity." Long live MESHUGGAH METAL! |

Guys, maybe it's just about Chameleon people? P.S. This song kicks ass, like every Meshuggah song. |
