I must say as a non-Christian the following: Grace is NOT a Christian concept. Neither is good, and the belief that being good is a both higher, and more difficult road. These concepts are found in almost all wide-spread religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Jain, Sikhism, and Wicca/Pagansim... Mary was not the first recorded mother of a deity born to destroy evil, and Christianity is not the first religion with a mythos of fallen Mankind. To believe so is to have a Christo-centric belief. Quoting Judaeo-Christian phrases is unavoidable in the West, and Dev borrowed from the pot heavily. Devin is a confirmed agnostic... The album is not Christian-themed. It is GOOD themed, like our friend aer0 mentioned in the first comment to his own post. He has advised he wanted to make a album based on a totally non-sarcastic or jaded viewpoint, but based on totally positive energy. I think it is magnificent. |

| Ah - further: what Devy sings under the "they left me to die" just after that section, or immediately after is also a mystery. Darn it Devy - we KNOW you're a genius! hahah | |

The middle section is not quite correct - having studied the Youtube vid and the album MANY times: "Here now dear friends, In our defense, Heroes died tonight. Here's our defense, Hero's defense, Heroes left you to die." The very end (specifically the second line just before "So High!") remains a mystery to me. I'll keep pluggin'! Ta |
