I think this song is about a loner who steals/commits crimes to survive to financially support their addiction ( alchoholism it seems in the song ) Holy water clouds my thinking Sinking low now Keep on drinking - the person is struggling with alcholholism or uses alchohol as an escape from reality down you go sin make me strong - burying somebody ( not literally ) to get what you want and doing whatever shortcut necessary to get ahead of/overpower somebody ... the narrator is always stealing/committing crimes but its getting him by so he sees no wrong in it You control me, soul you stole, mine - addiction My sins have made me blind - a life long of wrong doing has made the narrator incoherent to normalcy and serenity Sink into the holes in my eyes - the narrator is talking about people above him in society who look down upon him and the way he conducts himself. hes saying you would be doing what im doing if you were in my shoes. |
