Thixotropic is indeed one of the most underrated albums of all time. In my Bed, Sheen, You Are Everything, Crazy Maybe, ELTID, Fiona, Bag of Money, Paddle Out and Moonshine? All of these are great songs and if anyone hasn't at least heard them once you should take the time. Sheen is really deep, the guitar and drums alone make a great sound and that plus the lyrics: "The only time you're on my mind is when I'm thinking". Its an awesome song, had they had better exposure, better tours, and a different producer I honestly think they could have achieved success and fame similar to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, or Sublime, or something like that. |

I agree completely. I have been listening to this song since i was 12. I didnt always understand the lyrics but the sound itself was enough to make it one of my favorite songs. As i finally grew to understand the meaning and depth of the song I realized the genius behind the songwriting. I always interpreted the lyrics as an appreciation for the simplicities and consistencies of everyday life. It also acknowledges that life is harsh but its better to live for the moment than to dream about what might be as life passes you by. |
