to me, both partners in this relationship are individually struggling. cleche idium: "you cannot love another until you love yourself" i belive that this is what justin is reacting too. both people are dealing with depression or some ultimate saddness and want to be in love because they believe that this other person can make them happy, can lift them up (how long have we been down?) to a happy sort of normal. with this come the disappointment when each is proven wrong through unfaltering dispair. |

S.M. and J.F. shouldnt be compared in a literary sense at all. her books (twilight sega) have a decent plot but im discouraged by her low diction. her books should not be classified under young adult but rather child horror or next to the "goosebumps". furthermore, james (twilight) was interested in a cat&mouse chase, so, why even consider that there could be as much feeling as justin expresses?? |

that was my interpretation as well. justin adds bits and pieces in his songs that certainly sound that way to me. "Angel" in particular.. "How do you hold the special victim? When they push you away When they've been Raped on the inside Torn on the outside The dirt and ugly from the stain that they try to hide Touched in private places Embarassed faces To scared to ask for help" this seems like too much to be figurtive language. |

this song makes my heart ache only because its so honest and so human. being in love with someone out of your grasp in awful and this song is awake with such emotion. while i dont happen to be a twilight fan, since i read the series, this song has reminded me of jacob at bellas wedding. eh |
