Circa Survive – Every Way Lyrics 15 years ago
My interpretation of this song is very simple; No matter what you do, say, think, plan, achieve, love, hate, or know is wrong. There will always be something wrong and there is nothing you can do about it. Life is not perfect and neither is anyone.

Anthony Green – Miracle Sun Lyrics 15 years ago
It seems like a simple symbolistic plot. The sun stand for two things itself and in terms of the song a lover or significant other.

Where do you go when it gets dark? - (The sun obviously sets. This questioned posed to a lover the answer would be bed, the next logical question is...)

And is there room for me there? - (In bed... in case you weren't following)

How long will it take you to wake up? - (Everyone anticipates the sun rise, maybe they're watching their lover dream.)

Before you go will you wake me?
Will you wake me up?
Or I'll sleep all day - (Because more often than not that is the truth)

Miracle Sun stay with me tonight, we don't want to be with out you. - (Speaking to both forms of the symbolism simultaneously. Seemingly to say you are my sun when the sun is gone so stay with me tonight.)

We'll come along so save a place for us, we don't want to be alone - (Again speaking to both forms to the setting sun the pair are we. And with out the sun we are alone. And with the sun we are plural.)

(Everyone still with me?)

The rest of the song is repetition with a few minor changes in lyrics "Make a promise to wake me" and "Or I'll miss everything" basically a greater insistence on having the sun be present whether in reality or symbolically. The sun is life so in this song the symbolistic sun gives life when the real one cannot and if one is not awakened to see the sun they will miss everything entirely.

Anthony Green – Dear Child (I've Been Dying To Reach You) Lyrics 15 years ago
From the first time I heard this song I thought about being lost at sea. Maybe you can see it too. Here's maybe a little back story to my theory. Two persons are lost at sea from what ever circumstance (i.e. left behind on a snorkeling trip) and this is basically a scene while being lost where one person is recalling memories having flash backs and forwards in the delirium while still maintaining a grip of what is happening at that very moment.

Dear child, they're asking us to move
I watched her taking off her shoes - (A flashback to before they were lost, taking off shoes in order to get into the water)

Let the shore tide take you in, let the shore tide in - (Perhaps an instruction given should they become lost)

I'm weary, I'm not quite rested yet
This could be obvious to you - (They've been lost at sea)

Let the shore tide take you in, let the shore tide in - (A repeated line as if to instill it's truth or repeated in one's head)

In this shore tide, we've been treading in - (Describing the current situation)

I've been trying to reach you,
But my extension cord wouldn't reach that far
(Reach that far) - (Sounds as if a rescue was attempted. Most life jackets have life lines attached that trail in the water so that comrades wouldn't have to be separated, but the cord is only so long..)

I've been patiently waiting - (Waiting to see if the tide will bring them back closer.)

The indicator light is flashing on
(Flashing on) - (Again most life jackets are equipped with indicator beacons and sonar to be detected by rescue vessels or aircraft.)
Dear sleeper, you couldn't find a better bed - (They fell asleep in the tide from shear exhaustion or perhaps a coma as mentioned later)

I loved to watch the way you groove - (A sick joke to shed any type of positive light on a completely hopeless situation. Almost as if the indicator light is bobbing about with the motion of the waves simulation a dance of sorts, also mentioned later)

We're at, we're at the door
We're at, we're at the door - (At the door of death)

In this shore tide, we've been treading in.

I've been trying to reach you,
But your extension cord doesn't reach that far
(Doesn't reach that far)
(Reach that far)
I've been patiently waiting,
The indicator light is flashing on
(It's flashing on)
(Flashing on)

In this coma, sleepless dancing - (As mentioned from above)
We've been treading in

I've been trying to reach you
But your extension cord wouldn't reach that far,
Doesn't reach that far,
Reach that far.
I've been desperately waiting
The indicator light is flashing on,
It's flashing on,
Flashing on.

I've been trying to reach you,
But your extension cord wouldn't reach that far,
Wouldn't reach that far,
Reach that far.

(Doesn't reach that far)

So that is simply my take. I in no right mean for this to be the "correct" interpretation. It's just something I couldn't help but feel.

Cheers
