| actually, this song is so simple. it's about wanting to be with someone, telling them how you feel yet they insist on playing little games. he told her how he feels about her, but she's still making him wait around on her to admit her feelings. he wants her but if she can't make up her mind, he won't waste his time on something that will never come. he's not going to wait around for her to come to her senses when he can find someone else who is going to openly love him too.. | |

i'm a year late but... i'm pretty sure it's more so about drinking than anything else. white russian is a drink (white russian roulette), and he's talking about how sick he becomes from drinking WAY TOO MUCH whilst attempting to deal with his problems (out my mouth and down the drain). and the bullets in his blood is a reference to the drinking and alcohol pulsing into his bloodstream. "birthmarked my arms in vain" is showing the alcohol in the bloodstream once again and how he's ttying to mask his issues by getting drunk. in other words, he's too proud to admit he's having problems in his life so he'd rather cover them up. if he had said "birthmarked my arms in VEIN" then it'd be talking about injecting.. people are mixing up their homophones. i can see how it can easily be mistaken for heroin abuse but knowing the singer's specific habits in the past, it's alcohol. |
