I think "deep in this town and canopy of snow" should be "deep in this turning canopy of snow" makes more sense that way considering he is being spun around beneath a tree. presumably the "snow" is blossoms on the tree. It sounds to me like it is about escapism. finding someone/something/somewhere where you can hide from the world. The line "heaven can wait another year or so" also sounds like he is trying to convince someone to stay alive a little longer. |
