| Passion Pit – I'll Be Alright Lyrics | 13 years ago |

Here's the full lyrics as I hear them: "Can you remember ever having any fun? ’cause when it’s all said and done i always believed we were But now i’m not so sure (oh oh oh oh oh oh) I drink a gin and take a couple of my pills And my parade will give you chills oh honey, don't give me up (oh oh oh oh) I know we've had enough You should go if you want to Yeah go if you want to I’ll be alright, be alright Well i’ve made so many messes And this love has grown so restless Your whole life's been nothing but this I won’t let you go unless I'll be alright. I’ll be alright. I’m so self loathing that its time for me to see Reality from what i dream No, no one believes me No, not a single thing My pain is racing and i feel like i’ll explode (oh!) You’re looking at me from below, this robe wasn’t made for you Just go for someone new You should go if you want to Yeah go if you want to I’ll be alright, be alright Well i’ve made so many messes And this love has grown so restless Your whole life has been nothing but this I won’t let you go unless I'll be alright. I’ll be alright. Why do I keep holding onto suffering? Heads go on now, walls, my thoughts are stumbling This party is over now it isn’t happening The wind in the sails could tell I'm only recovering" |

The start of the last verse sounds like it says this to me: "Why do I keep holding on to suffering? Heads gone on now, walls, my thoughts are stumbling, this party is over now, it isn't happening. The wind in the sails could tell I'm only recovering." |

A few things I hear differently: "I could be the early warning, but I'm not the only one" rather than 'only warning' and the 'one' is missed off of the end. "You demand I make my mind up" not 'in' "I could fake it, I could break it 'til it hurts" instead of break it both times oh and "I shouldn't be so hard" mostly just typos I think :) |

I love this song, especially live :) it's so fun to sing the 'yes indeed!' part. I think it's 'funky rhythms I be kickin' at the start though. |

| Passion Pit – Eyes as Candles Lyrics | 15 years ago |

:) Full lyrics with corrections: My world is stirring sickly spits out our voices singing, "Sha la la, oh, no no," to kingdom come so slightly. Here in the void in your place, I twitch and tweak an illusion to sit and stare so blankly until our hope is used up. Why do I always seem to need you when you're fleeing? Where do you go when I'm around? What have I done? What have I lost that's so defeating? And have the nerve to wear a crown? Oh Na na na na na na, hey! hey! (x4) Some unguarded room: a smoky figure fills me full, makes my head swell and ruin. The family kneels at the pew, They nod - 'We believe in what you're doing' I feel you rise above me, the western landscape's towering, and from my shell of a body the flowers blossom for picking. Why do I always seem to need you when you're fleeing? Where do you go when I'm around? What have I done, what have I got that's so defeating? And have the nerve to wear a crown? Oh Na na na na na na, hey! hey! (x4) I've waited and waited for someone to take it Don't fight it, don't bother an inch for another Don't listen, don't hear them, they're in this together I've learned well; now hear me, there's much to be fearing I'm used to your absence, your faceless distraction I've painted your patterns but found them attractive Now I've been leaning towards a life far more candid, Though lead through the dark with your eyes as my candles Where your life and my life's directions can wrangle And all of a sudden you've left me to handle The reasons that never forbid me to stand tall And somehow, oh somehow I found out the secret To staying alive without actually breathing |

I love this song :') that movie is genius! though the lyrics are "Wipe my face on the welcome mat" not "rock my face, saw the world collapse" and I hear "Catch my drift, catch and shoot" rather than "Catch my drift, catch that too." :p |

| Eliza Doolittle – Pack Up Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I thought it was "Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag" from the old world war one song? You know, "Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and smile, smile, smile"? | |
