"I love the way you are, It's who I am, don't have to try hard" In the first 2 lines, she's saying that she loves the person the way he is and it's only natural that she likes him because that just how she is, she can't help it. The line after that, "we always say" - means that they've always been honest about everything, but then halfway through the line she remembers that it's not the case anymore (since they're either not talking like they used to, or the person is already gone) so she alters it midway to the past tense, "said like it is" that's why in the last line, upon realizing how they used to be, she admits that the past is what she missed. that's how I see it. It's in the way she sings it, too. :) |

I love the chorus part wherein the mother and child changed point of views. During the first chorus, the mom was the one saying the chorus but in the last part, it's the child who's saying the chorus part. :( this song made me cry. |

I think the lyrics is well written. It's about a guy talking to a friend and describing how his friend continuously screws up every relationship he's in (break the girl / same mistake over and over again). He tries to tell him to change his ways (hence the "say goodbye to one more day" part) but since he still keeps on doing the same old shit, tomorrow (which obviously mean a new beginning or a new chapter of his life) literally NEVER COMES. So it comes right back to a life of misery that's on a loop because he refuses to change. The whole "Until you see what you've become / Keep spinnin' circles around the sun" part is my most favorite line. I also find the line "Until you finally love someone" kind of bittersweet because 'till he finds that 'someone', the life he really hopes for will never happen. |
