My sister had the one tree hill soundtrack on our laptop so thats how I came across it and fell in love with it immeadiatly. I thought it was about faith and hope and finding out about the beauty in life, the same as what I thought With Arms Wide Open by Creed was about. Then one day I listened to both of these songs on my MP3 player with my sister and she said "Wow, you've got alot of songs about pregancy on you MP3 player." Yeah, I was pretty confused at that. She pointed out first the lyrics in With Arms Wide Open that suggested it was about pregnancy, then she came to this song. She said the most obvious one was "is it mine? Is it mine? As she pulls inside." As in, is it his baby. Lol, I was pretty shocked and didn't believe her at first then I started listening to the lyrics carefully. "she belongs somewhere else, where pain isn't hope and lives get every chance, not part of every plan" The woman in the song belongs with somebody else, someone better, so that having a baby, which is painful, isn't the only hope of having a family? Or thats how I see it. and now he's getting the chance to be a father, but its not what he's planned. He can't believe it- he's a non-believer XD |
