I am a twilight fan, but not a crazy tweenybopper or middle aged mother with an unfulfilled sex life, and I do like this song; but I agree with basically everyone here in saying that this song really is a poor excuse for a Muse song. I'm not trying to make myself out to be some kind of expert on Muse, I do listen to a selection of their songs and really enjoy them, but this song really doesn't come up to scratch. That said, about the whole hysteria of Muse latching themselves onto the Twilight franchise, I think that it is quite contradictory towards their alternative nature by becoming easily recognised in the mainstream scene; BUT with the evolution of the music franchise, and its electronic nature, many bands are now having to go to drastic measures to support themselves financially. Their main income has severely declined because many people are not buying cd's or mp3's anymore, instead they are illegally downloading the songs, a means in which the band receives no profit. To all those Muse fans out there, you don't have to like it, but the Twilight franchise is helping to keep your favourite band creating the music that you love so much. So try not to hate on Twilight so much; we aren't all die-hards! |
