I like the interpretation about the own fears and hiding of oneself more :)
But that's the great thing about the lyrics of most(especially metal) songs: even if the writer had a particular story in mind, the lyrics usually let space for an own interpretation. |

great song.
to me it's about someone without no motivation to go on and not even knowing why to try to change anything about his life. this someone just feels like slipping away.
the answer to his attitude: you have to try, and if the "inhale" (=new experiences) sucks, at least the "exhale" (the moment after you tried something) will be feeling better than you felt before. |

true. unfortunately another lame-lyrics-song on the new album "asylum". these guys are just too much into preaching these days... I prefer lyrics that you can understand your way instead. |

it's my favorite song of the new album, not only for the music but only for the lyrics now :)
i also think it's about struggling with life and about the importance of perseverance. there also seems to be something in it about someone else domineering over you. |
