I think the song is about a person who defines himself as a fighter and someone who never gives up. I think he also has a hard time letting things go or accepting things for the way they are, instead he tries to make things the best they can be. Reminds me of myself. |

To me he is saying, he wants to put the past behind when he says "let it wash it all away" And he wonders if theres something more out there, but is afraid of moving forward and is "stuck" somewhere in between, the rain (the past) and the sunshine (the future). |

Songs aren't always about what they "literally say" getting high could refer to extreme happiness, without the use of drugs. I think this song is about a love that he lost and is referring of the good times they had in the summer, but I think he is also saying that he took that person for granted when he says "maybe i was just a little too late" I think when he is refering himself to a crow that represents himself because hes chasing her, and maybe seen as "evil" for letting her go, and she is the butterfly, the one flying away..the innocent and beautiful one. |
