this song is about living life and seeing nothing good coming soon. We see heaven as this distant far away land which we cannot realistically conceptualize. We forget how close God actually is to us because we view him as being only up in heaven whereas His spirit is actually here with us (breathing in between).
Whenever I am low about how my life is going, this song reminds me of the paradise which the Lord promises, and how close this promise actually is to me |

hmmm to me this song is about a guy that does not want any baggage and thinks he is free because of it, but the girl he has been chasing after has stopped running, and he doesn't know now if he should commit to her because if he does he may lose his freedom because he'll be bounded to her. She will fill his heart (his heart will no longer be empty) but it appears as though he rather have an empty heart...yet the concept of the empty heart is still not necessarily a desirable one. it is obvious that this guy is seeking fulfillment to fill his lonesomeness with anyone he can, instead of filling his heart with the real, legit love that this girl would be able to provide....in conclusion he is kinda dumb because he does not realize the great things which lay in front of him |

totally reminds me of when me and my boyfriend broke up. The last verse embodies what I was going through every night when I would just lay in bed and all the thoughts, memories and regrets would just collide. It is so sad when two people fall out of love...and you try and hope that you can one day love that person again, and you think of things you can do to fix all that has gone wrong, but there really is nothing you can do...love is often not meant to last forever. It will naturally fade (just like the line says "There's no blame for how our love did slowly fade").

it sucks when you have feelings for someone who does not feel the same way about you. In your mind you see all this potential of what could be, but it gets lost in translation and the other person does not grasp it. I feel that this song pleads desperation, but does so in the name of love. This guy will do anything to have this girl gain an interest for him, and that in itself is passionate and inspiring. His will power and motivation will in time make her heart belong to him
