this stuff is the real Nickelback. Not the kind of perverted, distorted guitar solos crap they swim in now. it's pretty obvious what this song's about... he's leaving his girlfriend, who lies to him, and shows little care about their relationship. This song is not a single, patrick.oconnor37, so my guess is that they wrote it as a nonalbum song, but either The Punisher soundtrack got a hold of it, and therefore it actually became open to the public, or Nickelback wrote it especially for the movie. Anyhow, it's a great song. |

| Nickelback – This Afternoon Lyrics | 15 years ago |

my favourite Nickelback song, but these lyrics are almost all incorrect the correct lyrics (as seen on the Dark Horse booklet) "tough to put the brakes on" "we drink up, we fall down" "if y'ain't living on the edge, you're taking too much space" "don't wanna wristwatch or an alarm clock to see what time it is" "if you take 'em all back we can buy some more" "had a few to Suzy Q this afternoon" seriously? where does "time to put the brakes on" come from? i don't hear it, it if they're doing this six in the morning, why would they? "if we were living on the edge taking too much space" doesn't make sense because if they're drinking all day until they fall down" are they REALLY living on then edge? i love this song, but i absolutely hate it when people get it wrong |

| Nickelback – Old Enough Lyrics | 15 years ago |

i'm not a huge fan of the techno background and music video but i love the lyrics, Chad's voice and the guitar chorus my opinion is that the narrator was dating her but she was playing on him, thinking she was 'old enough' and knows better but soon realized that he can't force her to date him again. i love old enough, leader of men, worthy to say, one last run and breathe equally, but I don't think it's one of Nickelback's best albums, i prefer Dark Horse or Silver Side Up. |
