I believe this song is a confession to clear a guilty and paranoid conscience, and a way of putting things in the past, and learning from it. He also states that he realizes he's made bad decisions and mistakes in the past, however now hes mature enough to realize it was wrong, and this forms a confession, in order to clear a guilty conscience: "Yes, I lie and I wrangle with prospective angles That glare me down and face me with all I do wrong Why do they all look like me?"
