I think this song is not so much about conventional break up, but rather a situation where its best to break up despite what you may feel as you know its going to go sour "I will have to pull my heart away Cause if I never leave, I'll ruin yesterday" If he doesnt break up, all the good memories and feeling will be tainted by the incuring arguments and what not. Atm, im in a similar situation, I have a lovely girlfriend, but, i have a new job which means i will have to move away, we talked about the long distance stuff, but secretly im sceptical and think it may be best to end things on good terms rather than a slow dissent. :/ |
